Learning Services

If you have ever found yourself struggling with your course load during the semester, you are not alone. College classes are demanding—course contents are challenging, the workload can seem overwhelming; you’re trying to balance your school work with your personal life…sometimes it’s a wonder anyone survives college!

Fortunately, Mason does not expect you to go at it alone. There are many resources on campus for you to turn to when you need a little help. One of these resources is Learning Services. This office has a tutor referral program, academic counseling, and workshops to help all Mason students be successful. Some of the workshops include: Improving Concentration, Motivation and Goal Setting, Study Strategies, Exam Strategies, and Overcoming Procrastination. Some students may even be interested in earning the Certificate in Academic Skills. This certificate program can help students to study more efficiently, improve your test taking skills, decrease their anxiety about performance and improve their grades.

The programs offered through Learning Services are confidential, free of charge, and open to all Mason students. Stop struggling and start taking steps towards academic success by taking advantage of the programs Learning Services has to offer.
